Bookkeeper and Office Administrator
Wholesale plumbing fixtures company in Clearwater area is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. This position is responsible for all aspects of accounting, including AP, AR, financial reporting, sales tax and month-end closing activities. Responsibilities also include providing human resources support to a staff of 12 and customer service. This position reports to the President and will interact with all levels of this fast paced and growing company. Candidates should have at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience.

Duties:
•    Accounts Receivable: manage collection and record daily transactions
•    Accounts Payable: manage within terms and record daily transactions
•    Reconcile AR and AP accounts with customer and vendor records 
•    Daily bank deposits
•    Reconcile all bank accounts, including merchant services, weekly and monthly•    Balance sheet reconciliations monthly
•    Perform month-end closing procedures
•    Prepare timely and accurate financial statements
•    Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
•    Assist with onboarding new employees, including I9 and W-4 requirements
•    Administer the payroll system 
•    Coordinate employee benefit coverage by working with insurance agent
•    File and pay monthly sales tax
•    Provide year-end audit and tax support
•    Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
•    Support customer service representatives with inbound calls and customer orders
•    Various ongoing and special operational and accounting/finance projects

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:
•    3 or more years of bookkeeping experience
•    Working knowledge of Quickbooks Desktop
•    Intermediate knowledge of Excel
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Ability to multitask
•    Analytical thinker with strong communication skills
•    Team player
•    Wholesale experience helpful
