Position Overview:

We are seeking a proficient and empathetic Bilingual Medical Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish with a strong background in medical terminology and exceptional communication skills. The Bilingual Medical Operator will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between patients and medical staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and medical staff, providing assistance and support in both English and Spanish.

  • Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

  • Translate medical documents, forms, and instructions accurately to ensure clear communication between patients and healthcare providers.

  • Assist with patient intake, including verifying insurance information, collecting patient data, and updating medical records.

  • Relay critical information between patients and medical staff, ensuring accurate interpretation and understanding.

  • Provide assistance with administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.

  • Uphold the highest standards of customer service and confidentiality in all interactions with patients and colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Previous experience in a medical setting or healthcare-related field is highly

    desirable.

  • Proficiency in medical terminology and the ability to accurately translate complex

    medical information.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with

    individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and

    professionalism.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

  • Commitment to upholding patient confidentiality and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
