Overview
We are looking for a proactive, charismatic, and trustworthy Team Leader to oversee our dynamic team of door-to-door canvassers. This role is ideal for someone who is results-driven, excels in building, intuitive, communicative, and effectively trains teams. This candidate thrives in a challenging outdoor sales environment, and has a knack for problem solving. As a Team Leader, you will start by setting leads and driving results personally, then gradually shift to guiding your team to achieve and exceed their targets. Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Oversee daily operations of a team of canvassers, ensuring optimal productivity and effectiveness. Provide regular training and support, and foster a positive, energetic team environment.
- Sales and Performance Tracking: Initially generate leads personally to set a high standard and benchmark for the team. Monitor team performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with both team members and homeowners. Handle interactions with diplomacy and professionalism, even in challenging situations.
- Recruitment: Take an active role in the hiring process to ensure the selection of capable and reliable team members.
- Logistics and Planning: Balance field supervision with office responsibilities, ensuring smooth operation of both aspects of the campaign.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, especially door-to-door canvassing, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in training and team development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilience and ability to handle rejection and hostile interactions in a professional manner.
- Availability to work later hours and adaptability to work in various weather conditions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, yet a collaborative team player when needed.
- Valid Driver's License
Compensation
- Competitive base salary with an uncapped bonus structure heavily weighted towards team results.
