To work for a very stable pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Pompano Beach, Fl. we are looking to fill the following position:

  • Position: Purchasing Clerk
  • Location: Pompano Beach, Fl.
  • 100% on-site position
  • Pay rate range: $18-$20/ hourly
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision insurances, all the holydays paid, PTO's, 401/K
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) 100% ON-SITE

Job Description Purchasing Clerk:

The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for supporting the supply chain department and purchasing agent, with the items and services needed, performing market research to get the best price and quality available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PURCHASING CLERK:

● Support the Supply Chain department in buying miscellaneous goods and services for the company.

● Assist with the identification and sourcing of potential suppliers.

● Analyzing and comparing supplier quotations, recommending the best option based on cost/benefit.

● Performing vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency.

● Maintains records and follow-up on documents of purchases, shipments, and related matters through phone and email, ensuring that all purchasing documents are complete and accurate.

● Working with various departments to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies

● Maintain good housekeeping standards from current and potential vendors in all locations.

Book freight and courier shipments and confirm deliveries.

Creates and administers and maintain purchase orders.

● Provide clerical support to the supply chain department, as needed.

● Performs other related job duties as required and assigned by management.

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED  PURCHASING CLERK:

● High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

● At least 2 years of related experience.

● Knowledge of purchasing and accounting functions.

● Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

● Able to manage multiple tasks, work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure well.

● Strong organizational skills.

● Must be able to work in a team or individually as and when required.

● Experience in data entry and MS Office (especially, Word, Excel, and Outlook).

● Proficiency in using MRP/ERP. NetSuite is a plus
