Role Overview

As a Website Developer at ServiceHawk, you will be responsible for building and maintaining websites that elevate the online presence of home service businesses. You’ll work with modern technologies like Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, and our custom framework built on ModX CMS, all while ensuring top-notch performance and SEO standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update and maintain client websites on WordPress, ensuring functionality, security, and performance.
  • New Website Development: Build out new websites using our custom framework on ModX CMS, leveraging Tailwind CSS, Alpine.js, PHP, and HTML/CSS.
  • SEO Implementation: Implement SEO best practices during development to ensure websites are optimized for search engines and drive organic traffic.
  • PPC Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to support PPC campaigns by optimizing landing pages and ensuring fast load times and high conversion rates.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to bring creative concepts to life, ensuring seamless integration between design and functionality.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand their website needs, providing solutions that exceed expectations and contribute to their business success.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in web development, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Tailwind CSS, Tailwind UI, Alpine.js, PHP, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with WordPress and ModX CMS is required.
  • SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO best practices and how to implement them in web development.
  • PPC & Design/Dev Unicorns: Experience with PPC management and design is a huge plus.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in coding and testing.
