As we grow nationwide, we have a great opportunity for an IT Field Technician/Engineer in Alpharetta, GA role is an extension of our Managed Services desktop support-based Alpharetta, GA. This team member will be acting as the local hands, eyes, escalation point and knowledge keeper working exclusively from the client site in Alpharetta, GA.

Your Job:

  • Resident support for internet connectivity, VoIP phones, and basic device support

  • System administration, troubleshooting, and projects in conjunction with the Newnan based NOC and support team

  • Relaying technical network knowledge to understand and troubleshoot incidents

  • Providing assistance concerning Desktop Services, Fortinet, networking, and physical layer maintenance of telecom rooms

  • Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise in deskside environments

  • Providing day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware

  • Determining root causes of incidents and documenting resolutions

  • Making recommendations and defining action plans

  • Maintain client documentation

  • Maintain security and privacy levels regarding customer data and corporate policies

  • Mentoring and providing guidance to peers by sharing best practice knowledge and lessons learned

You’re Good at:

  • Technical and analytical work

  • Quickly and intuitively solving problems

  • Providing exceptional customer service

  • Paying attention to the details

  • Establishing priorities, working independently, and completing objectives without supervisions

  • Troubleshooting and solving problems

  • Building and maintaining business partnerships via telephone and remote support

  • Professional communication including oral and written skills

You Have:

  • 3+ years currently working in a core technical area

  • Experience with Networking technologies/infrastructure is a MUST

  • 3 -5+ years in an IT department/desktop support role

  • High School diploma required; College degree preferred

  • Must have an experience in building network firewalls from scratch

  • Above average communications skills is a MUST
