POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for Timekeeping and efficient management of accounts receivables. This role involves expertise in timekeeping processes, ensuring the timely and precise recording of work hours. Additionally, proficiency in managing invoices is crucial for maintaining a streamlined financial workflow. The Accounting Clerk collaborates closely with the finance team to uphold accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in these specific areas of financial responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage timekeeping processes for a team of 120 employees, including manual clock-ins and clock-outs.
  • Review and verify timesheets for accuracy, ensuring adherence to company policies and relevant labor laws.
  • Perform data entry tasks, transferring information from Monarch system to ADP for seamless payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with HR and department managers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to employee time records.
  • Generate and distribute regular reports on time and attendance metrics.
  • Assist in the optimization of timekeeping software or systems.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competencies:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills for communicating and working cooperatively with other departments and senior management.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associate degree, preferably in business and/or accounting/finance.

Experience: Three years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role and/or relevant manufacturing industry experience concerning purchasing, inventory, and production tracking. MIS system experience and knowledge of systems are helpful, particularly of EFI/Monarch system.

Computer Skills: Intermediate-level skills in Excel and Word.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position constantly.
  • Must be able to use computer keyboard constantly.
  • Must be able to view a computer monitor frequently.
