Accurate Meter & Supply is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Field Supervisor to oversee our water meter installation projects. The Field Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling meter installations, supervising field personnel, managing work orders, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on time. This role also involves hiring and training additional crew members as needed. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Coordination:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive installation schedule.
    • Coordinate daily work assignments for installation crews to meet project deadlines.
    • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Supervision & Leadership:
    • Provide on-site supervision and support to all field personnel, ensuring work is performed safely and to the company's quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site visits to oversee installation progress and address any issues that arise.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact between the field crew and management.
  • Hiring & Training:
    • Recruit, hire, and onboard new field crew members as needed to meet project demands.
    • Provide training and ongoing support to new hires, ensuring they understand company procedures and safety protocols.
    • Evaluate the performance of field personnel and provide feedback to encourage professional growth.
  • Work Order Management:
    • Manage and distribute work orders to ensure all tasks are clearly assigned and understood by the installation team.
    • Track the progress of work orders and update management on completion status.
    • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to work orders in a timely manner.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Maintain clear and open communication with the project management team regarding project status, challenges, and crew needs.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, crew performance, and any incidents or issues encountered in the field.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure all field operations comply with company safety policies and local regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries on the job site.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in field supervision, preferably in water utilities or a related industry.
    • Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work in various outdoor conditions and travel to multiple job sites as required.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours if needed to meet project deadlines.
