Job DescriptionJob Description

Project Manager Estimator are responsible for masterminding, outlining and developing projects. They design the project goals and success markers, determine how success will be measured and tracked. They ensure the project remains on time and on budget and help motivate team members to hit their goals. Project Manager Estimator also act as a liaison between the project team and upper level management. They prepare and present progress reports to ensure the project is furthering organizational goals.

 

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverable fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit our collaborative culture. The job requires some overtime hours.

Role And Responsibilities:

·         Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.

·         Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strength, skill sets and experience levels.

·         Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

·         Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.

·         Develop Comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.

·         Ability to read and evaluate drawings and relevant contract documents.

·         Completed accurate estimates of required labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors needed to complete projects.

·         Storage tank knowledge.

·         Perform other duties as required.

·         Review drawings and specifications to determine quantities and calculate pricing.

·         Strong analytical skills with the ability to interact and collaborate at all levels.

·         Use and continually develop leadership skills.

·         Build and maintain project schedules.

·         Estimate new projects.

·         Work directly with Manager to prioritize projects.

·         Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

·         Ability to perform in a collaborative, team- based environment.

·         Sales and negotiating skills.

·         Energetic with a high sense.

·         Experience with creating estimates and proposals.

·         Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

·         Detail Oriented.

·         Meeting critical project deadlines and progressing projects in logical and cost-efficient manner.

·         Negotiating change requests with architects, construction managers, and clients in a professional manner to foster good-will with team members.

·         Pre- construction Jobsite visits.

·         NYS DEC Stormwater Management.

·         Construction industry preferred.

·         Microsoft and Excel Proficiency.

·         Valid Class C Drivers License.

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management (civil, mechanical or structural) or Equivalent work experience.

Work Environment: Job operates in an office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a largely sedentary role; however, kneeling, stooping, or bending may be necessary on rare occasions.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is an exempt position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Compensation Package: Superior Tank Co., Inc. provides the employees with a competitive salary, medical, dental, and life insurance, sick time, vacation time, and a 401K retirement program.

Travel: Occasional travel is expected for this position
