Job Description: Creative Project Manager / Graphic Designer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Creative Manager to join our team. As a Creative Manager, you will be responsible for helping with some design projects, but mostly overseeing our remote team of designers and ensuring that all projects are completed on time and to the highest standards. Your role will be pivotal in nurturing the creative process, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that our design projects align with our brand identity and objectives. If you have excellent leadership abilities, a keen eye for design, and a passion for delivering exceptional visual experiences, we would love to hear from you.

This is an in-person position at our office in Smithfield, Virginia.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and oversee a team of remote designers, providing guidance, motivation, and clear direction throughout the creative process.
  2. Develop project plans and timelines, and manage the execution of multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to set budgets and deadlines.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and directly with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
  4. Ensure that design projects align with brand guidelines, principles, and marketing strategies.
  5. Review and provide constructive feedback on design concepts, ensuring they meet quality standards and objectives.
  6. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide mentoring and development opportunities, and foster a creative and inclusive remote work environment.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design software, and tools, and implement best practices to optimize the team's creative processes and output.
  8. Coordinate project resources, including freelancers and contractors, as needed to meet project demands.
  9. Maintain effective communication channels with remote team members, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  10. Track and report on project progress, resource utilization, and team performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders and management.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Creative Manager, Art Director, or similar role, preferably in a remote work environment.
  2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a remote creative team.
  3. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  4. Proficient in design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, and knowledge of design trends, techniques, and best practices.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to remote team members.
  6. A creative and innovative mindset, with a passion for design and an eye for detail.
  7. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  8. Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a remote team environment.
  9. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and project requirements.
  10. A degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred but not required.
