Pay rate: $14 - $15/hr

The typical schedule for this position is Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Summary

Sterling Personnel is recruiting an Accounting Assistant for our client, a bookkeeping firm. This role is located in Corpus Christi, TX. The Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Office Manager and other staff members by answering phones, matching and filing billing information, and organizing financial documentation. This is a Temp-to-Hire role with an expected schedule of Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM with an offered pay range of $14-$15/hour.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable daily
  • Greeting clients and visitors
  • Preparing the office for business each day
  • Assisting the Office Manager with light accounting duties
  • Filing documents electronically
  • Creating correspondence using designated templates
  • Performing other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient in QuickBooks (desktop version) & Microsoft Excel
  • Applicants are also expected to possess strong typing skills that include accuracy and speed
