As an Accounting Analyst II, you will perform accounting tasks daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis. Complete reconciliations related to the Bank’s general ledger accounts. Assisting and completing financial reporting items and interacting with internal, and external clients, and auditors.

What you'll do:

  • Regulatory Reporting
    • Prepare Quarterly Call Report Supporting Schedules
    • Prepare Quarterly FRY-8
    • Prepare Summary of Deposits
    • Prepare and File Weekly FR2900 Report
    • Prepare and File Biweekly Tefra tax payments and 945 annual return
    • Prepare and File Annual Sales Tax
  • Accounting Activities
    • Review daily G/L application balancing reports and resolve differences
    • Review, research, and resolve general ledger out of balance amounts
    • Perform general ledger reconciliations
    • Research reconciling items
    • Communicate reconciling items with responsible departments
    • Follow through to resolution
    • Recurring Monthly/Quarterly Accounting Entries
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with general ledger, due from accounts, and internal accounts implementation and mapping changes
  • Maintain Prepaid and Accrual additions, deletions and monthly processing
  • Maintain Lease Accounting Additions and monthly processing.
  • Liaison with Property Tax Consultant to ensure annual appraisals completed and all taxes are accrued and received to pay.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset Accounting
    • Monitor for additions and sales
    • Prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation entries through AvidAscend software
    • Prepare roll forward of fixed assets
    • Fixed asset liaison for internal auditors, external auditors, and examiners
  • Assist Accounting Manager with projects and initiatives

What we are looking for:

  • 2+ years’ work experience in finance or accounting required
  • Work experience in the banking industry is preferred
  • Strong PC skills - MS Office (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent and demonstrable analytical skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-starter
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • 4-year Accounting, Finance or other Business degree required
