Temp Accounts Payable Clerk Schedule: 7:30am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday (30 hrs per week)

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Ideal candidate will be
a self-starter with a positive “can do” attitude, high energy, and a “team spirit” approach.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 Processing high volume of transactions handling full cycle A/P for multiple companies in
a fast-paced environment.
 Review, code and enter all non-purchase order invoices to appropriate general ledger
accounts and departments.
 Perform 3-way match and resolve any discrepancies working with procurement team.
 Process and research freight invoice variances working with client service team.
 Monitor and ensure invoices are timely approved.
 Assist in preparation of weekly check runs, including running of A/P aging reports.
 Assist with month-end and year-end closing process as well as annual audits.
 Review and reconcile vendor statements against accounting records.
 Research and resolve any payable discrepancies.
 Provide administrative support and other projects as assigned.
Competencies:
 Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to prioritize and time manage.
 Strong communication skills - verbal and written
 Demonstrates analytical skills and strong work ethic
Qualifications and Education Requirements
 Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting experience, and/or equivalent
combination.
 Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience
 Computer proficient (MS Office, Excel, Word)
 Working knowledge of Great Plains a plus
