About the Position

Key Duties

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors and managing the front desk with warmth and professionalism.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, manage email correspondence, and relay messages accurately and promptly.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings to support the hospice team.
  • Maintain and update patient records and office files with the utmost confidentiality and precision.
  • Provide general administrative support, including handling mail, preparing documents, and liaising with vendors.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or college education preferred.
  • Prior experience as a receptionist or in an administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or hospice setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to handle sensitive situations gracefully.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with office equipment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
