This position requires a candidate with experience in federal IT sales. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience in Federal Sales, specifically in selling IT hardware, software, and services to federal government end users. It is crucial that they have a proven track record of successfully driving and expanding sales within a Federal IT agency.


In addition to the core qualifications mentioned, the following skills and experiences are also important:


  • Meeting or exceeding monthly quota.
  • At least three solid years of experience in IT Sales to the Federal Government, including IT services, products, and solutions.
  • Familiarity with SEWP or any other GWAC (Government-Wide Acquisition Contract) experience.
  • Willingness to learn how to sell via an SDVOSB VAR (Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Value Added Reseller).
  • Detailed understanding of the Government contracting acquisition process.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives concurrently.
  • Proven experience in identifying and capturing sole Federal Government business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to persuade and engage effectively.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • Strong knowledge of at least two Government customers/agencies.
  • User-level experience in Windows 10, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PDF viewer (e.g., Adobe Reader); and MS Teams.


Overall, the ideal candidate should possess a proven and established background in selling IT hardware, software, and services to the federal government. They should have a track record of helping drive and grow a Federal IT agency sales unit, along with excellent people skills and a sound understanding of the technologies supported, including storage, networking, computing, backup, and more.
