Position Summary:
The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for performing and/or overseeing the maintenance at a customer's facilities. This includes conducting hands-on repairs, working with company maintenance technicians, and, coordinating with vendors and contractors. The ideal candidate will possess strong maintenance skills, a comprehensive understanding of facility management best practices, and the ability to manage complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Operations:
- Oversee an organization’s facilities, ensuring all systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) are functioning optimally.
- Implement SOP maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure longevity and reliability of facility systems and equipment.
- Technical Maintenance:
- Engage in technical repairs to plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for maintenance, repair, and renovation projects.
- Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance with terms, and oversee the quality of work performed by external parties.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facility operations and safety.
- Implement safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address any potential hazards promptly.
- Project Management:
- Lead facility-related projects, including renovations, expansions, and relocations.
- Develop project plans, coordinate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in facility management; experience in a leadership role a plus.
- Strong knowledge of facility systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing vendor relationships.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Management certifications is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work to address emergency situations or oversee projects.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks related to facility maintenance.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week (flexible)
- Typically hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional weekend and weeknight responsibilities
