BRAVO YACHT SERVICES is a marine services company based in Fort Lauderdale, US. We are constantly increasing operations and our presence in the yachting industry, locally, and in other nautical destinations.
We offer engineering services and technical support to luxury yachts, ranging from 50 to 150 feet. We are mainly focused on systems in the hydraulic and mechanical engineering categories, marine electronics and electrical engineering, providing maintenance and repair services as well as selling marine equipment and OEM products for vessels.
Our business development is based on service agreements with top luxury vessel manufacturers, dealers of very prestigious brands in the US, and very well known marinas and shipyards in the yachting industry.
This constant development and progressive work load is creating internal job opportunities and opens new job positions for professionals in the industry.
Characteristics:
Yacht Service Technician or Yacht Service Engineer is a master technician, full hands-on, a problem solver, an expert with an advanced technical knowledge and expertise.
Characteristics:
1. This is a full time job. We will guarantee 20 hours /week.
2. Job Position: Yacht Service Technician or Yacht Service Engineer
3. Reporting to Operations Supervisor, and in constant coordination with the Administration and Logistics.
4. Effective date: Immediately.
5. Duration of contract: To de determined. Probationary period: 3 months.
6. Location: 2945 W State Road 84, East Marina, Bradford Marine. Fort Lauderdale.
7. Physical presence at the Company’s office or workshop is required every day. Disposition to receive calls from management and customers above working hours.
8. Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.
9. Compensation:
a. Annual salary in the range $50000 to $ 94000 depending on the technical level, under W2, according to final evaluation, after 3 months.
Note: There are 3 technical levels: Advanced (Level 3), Intermediate (Level 2) and Basic (Level 1 or Trainee). See HR specialist for further details.
b. Other benefits:

10. Expenses:
a. Car allowance: $0.50/mile (mobilization for specific assigned tasks).
Responsibilities and Duties:
The company reserves the right to add or delete job responsibilities, included but not limited to the following:
· Inspect, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair yacht systems of all kinds.
· Advanced knowledge of marine systems in the electric and/or electronic and/or hydraulic, and/or mechanical engineering areas.
· Utilizes appropriate tooling, instruments, technical information, diagnostic equipment for inspections and troubleshooting.
· Is an expert and utilizes the best procedures and most appropriate tooling to replace, install, remove, maintain, repair components onboard.
· Understands working principles and how all systems, components work onboard. Teach and lead with example, and trains the technical team under his or her command.
· Understands and practices yacht etiquette in all aspects of his or her work onboard.
· Elaborate daily plans, estimating working hours or days per task and per job, estimating workload per technician, estimating materials and components.
· Reporting on a daily basis all tasks performed or work done, with details about time per task, sequence, area, system, materials, location, status or progress.
· Prepare detailed technical reports with photos, symptoms, inspection, actions taken, analysis, conclusions and recommendations. Also, commissioning reports, inspection and survey reports, when assigned.
· Elaborate cost estimates for jobs assigned.
· Conduct thorough assessment prior to starting a job including acknowledging the budgeted time and costs.
· Meet productivity standards and complete work in a timely manner.
· Share instructions and procedures to his or her team of Level 2 and Level 1 technicians for all tasks and jobs to be done. Level 3 is the most advanced and experienced level.
· Report to supervision and/or management all events of the day.
· Provide solutions for problems on air conditioning, chiller and refrigeration systems, hydraulic equipment, control panels, marine and deck hardware, stabilization, gyroscopes, steering systems, thrusters, ventilation, awnings, pantograph doors, electrical windows, seawater, fresh, grey and black waters, sanitation systems and plumbing.
· Provide solutions for problems on fuel systems, fuel tanks, transmissions, control displays, pod drives, shafts and propellers.
· Provide solutions for problems on energy generation, energy storage, energy control, energy distribution, wiring, battery chargers, inverters, converters, audio and video systems, navigation, external and interior lighting, generators, alternators, shore power, monitoring, automation, digital switching, navigation and communications systems.
· Provide solutions for problems on marine emergency and rescue equipment, fire control and gas monitoring systems.
· Follow original equipment manufacturers technical procedures, parameters and troubleshooting recommendations for all electric, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical engineering areas. Ensure the systems and components are in compliance and meet OEM standards and requirements.
· Follow company’s quality protocols and quality parameters.
· Clean, protect and prepare working areas.
· Pre and post inspection and quality control for every task and job.
· Travel within the US or abroad to attend factory and/or additional technical training, as necessary if requested upon.
· Elaborate travel expense and service expenses reports.
· Troubleshoot and assist repairs on yachts or failure alarms via phone, video conference or any other media or software, when necessary.
· Assist with monitoring of equipment including checking gauges and recording reading.
· Suggest or request proper and minimum inventory of common items for stock.
· Assist with necessary workshop/showroom/office improvements when assigned.
· Assist with preparation of vessels for boat shows and other marketing events.
· Utilize forklift or any other carrier when necessary for heavier parts and/or vessel’s inventory gear maneuvering.
· Domestic and international travel to service yachts when necessary, especially in the summer.
· Must be available to travel anytime with a short notice.
· Must be available to respond to emergency calls, anytime.
· Must have availability to work overtime in order to meet deadlines.
· Must have flexibility to work on nights / weekends / holidays possibility, when needed and requested by Management..
· Must accompany corporate captains on sea trials when needed.
· When assigned, maintain company equipment to ensure good working order, including vehicles, tools, instruments (when assigned), uniforms etc.
· Must keep workspace and tools always clean and organized.
· Prior to ordering replacement parts, must collect all necessary technical information and specs.
· Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other company personnel and a positive client interaction.
· Respond to inquiries and seeks additional information when uncertain of any tasks.
· Follow safety rules, applicable laws and regulations, wear proper protective gear as needed.
· Maintain a satisfactory attendance record, including availability for potential overtime.
· Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Must pass physical, drug screen and background/pre-employment screening check, if requested.
Education, Experience, Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:
· Minimum of 7 years experience in the marine industry is required.
· Possess advanced hands-on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, electronical technical skills.
· Possess job-related skills like welding, plumbing, carpentry, fiberglass, painting, splicing, PVC and Hypalon, teak, stainless steel and aluminum, upholstery, mast rigging.
· Advanced skills installing and troubleshooting systems based on NMEA2000, CANBUS, PLCs, J1939, Ethernet, Internet, computer, and data and communication protocols.
· Advanced use of tools Google Drive, Google Calendar, Gmail, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Outlook.
· Experience in the use of TeamViewer, Any Desk, Zoom, Google Meet, Skype, and any other remote access software.
· Technical university / college / school education. Engineering background preferred.
· Must possess own vehicle for mobile services.
· Ability to ascend and descend a ladder.
· Ability to ascend and descend a mast or antenna with the appropriate safety equipment.
· Must possess and carry own tools and instruments. Company will only provide specialty tools.
· Ability to work in confined spaces.
· Ability to lift 50 pounds.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
