At The Crossroads Center, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to transform their lives. We are currently looking for a motivated Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission of making a positive impact on our clients' lives.
About the Position:
As an Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will work closely with the Billing Supervisor to handle various aspects of the revenue cycle process. This includes responsibilities such as insurance verifications, billing, collections from both insurance companies and patients, cash payment posting, and providing exceptional patient services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and resolve patient issues, support team members with patient account inquiries, and assist in preparing weekly patient statements.
- Conduct insurance verifications and validate eligibility and benefits information for scheduled patients to ensure accurate claim submissions and payments.
- Communicate with patients prior to appointments regarding their financial responsibilities, including co-payments due at the time of service.
- Compile and submit claims to insurance companies based on EMR data.
- Review initial claim scrub and manage billing through practice management software.
- Validate claims and make necessary corrections for accurate and timely claim submissions.
- Resolve disputed balances using billing and practice management software.
- Collaborate with management and other revenue cycle staff to streamline processes and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office, business office, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
