Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the data science team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Develop and execute data science strategies and projects that support business objectives and drive actionable insights.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data science projects and solutions.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and scalability of data science models and solutions.
  • Develop and communicate data-driven insights and recommendations through reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of data science models and solutions, making adjustments as needed to improve accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for data management, data governance, and model validation.
  • Manage data science-related budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; Master's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in data science tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Extensive experience with machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data modeling.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading data science projects from conception to deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience in conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, including experience in mentoring and developing team members.
  • Experience with data management, data governance, and best practices for model validation and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
