Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Scientist:

● Support clients in maintaining compliance in safety; stormwater; industrial waste; air quality; hazardous materials handling and storage; and hazardous waste storage, tracking, and disposal.

● Support projects with compliance oversight in the field.

● Perform compliance inspections on Apex projects.

● Meet and discuss compliance issues with agency inspectors and regulators.

● Support compliance audits.

● Write technical reports.

● Maintain familiarity with regulations pertinent to Apex projects.

● Apply for regulatory permits.

● Track permits.

● Provide guidance and training to staff related to regulatory aspects related to ongoing projects.

● Oversee field activities to ensure compliance with regulatory permits.

● Actively develop your own career growth.

What we're looking for:

● BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or other related field

● 6+ years of experience with environmental compliance in US.

● Strong technical writing skills.

● The ability to successfully multi-task

● Safety awareness

● Ability to maintain compliance records

● 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred

● Experience working in the field and directing field staff.

● Experience with data management and report preparation.

● Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.

● Strong verbal communication skills.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
