Job Title: Assistant Project Manager - Asbestos, IH & Environmental Services

Terracon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to support our Environmental Services team in Hartford, CT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, and execution of various environmental services assignments on projects varying in size and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Asbestos, Mold, and other IH/IAQ surveys and abatement/remediation projects.
  • Conduct site visits, observations, screenings, and surveys for the presence of hazardous building materials and subsurface contamination.
  • Perform routine and non-routine field testing on a variety of projects.
  • Sample suspect asbestos-containing building materials in accordance with AHERA guidelines.
  • Perform construction oversight, soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and well sampling.
  • Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM Standard E1527-21.
Requirements:
  • BS/BA degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related science field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Certification in field of expertise required, including but not limited to CT Asbestos Inspector, CT Asbestos Project Monitor, and Asbestos Management Planner.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
