Environmental Planner III

HNTB is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planner III to join our team. As a key member of our Planning Group, you will play a critical role in delivering solutions for complex infrastructure projects across the country.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze design plans and identify deliverables to ensure projects meet client requirements.
  • Compile and analyze data from multiple disciplines to propose technical solutions and provide comprehensive reviews.
  • Prepare graphics, technical reports, fee proposals, and responses to Requests for Proposals for planning projects.
  • Assist in creating project presentation materials, concepts, graphics, and reports for clients and community groups.
  • Coordinate with project team members and clients to ensure quality checks and client requirements are met.
  • Conduct public meetings, hearings, and community workshops to facilitate communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Review budgets, invoicing, and billing to ensure accurate financial management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • Master's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Environmental Planning, Urban Design, Architecture, Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project and client-specific programs.
  • Understanding of client processes, regulations, and environmental procedures.
  • Ability to function as Task Lead for simple projects and contribute to writing scopes and budgets.
  • Advanced understanding of environmental laws and regulations, including NEPA, local, state, and federal laws.
