Job Title: Procurement Coordinator
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Position Summary: As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be at the helm of planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of our purchasing team. Your role involves negotiating costs, formulating policies with suppliers, and overseeing the acquisition of materials, products, and services to support our operations.
Essential Functions:
- Represent the company in negotiations, formulating advantageous contracts with suppliers.
- Direct and coordinate personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials and supplies.
- Lead the hiring process, oversee training initiatives, and ensure staff proficiency.
- Identify and evaluate vendors, ensuring product availability and favorable terms of sale.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders efficiently and accurately.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records of orders and monitor the receipt of goods.
- Collaborate in developing specifications for products and materials.
- Analyze market trends and delivery systems to optimize material availability.
- Address vendor grievances and resolve claims against suppliers effectively.
- Review and approve specifications for bid issuance and awarding.
- Ensure compliance with company policies in purchase order claims and contracts.
- Manage budgets for the purchasing department and prepare market reports.
- Facilitate bid awards requiring board approval.
- Coordinate the disposal of surplus materials and minimize obsolete inventory.
