Schedule : Services on Sunday, rehearsals during the week.
Qualifications :
  • Be able to read music and have experience in a wide range of music to include the Roman Catholic style of liturgical music.
  • Be fully qualified on standard piano and electronic keyboard. In addition, experience or proficiency with other musical instruments is desirable.
  • Have Bachelor of Arts degree in music plus two (2) years’ experience directing music in a Catholic Church or chapel setting, or possess six (6) years’ experience directing music in a Catholic Church or chapel setting.
Duties :
  • Ensure all liturgical music requirements are met.
  • Prepare and lead music for Catholic Mass during the agreed upon worship services with instrumental, choral, congregational, and musical presentations as required.
  • Conduct practice sessions once a week and any additional practice sessions
  • Set up and take down all equipment used to provide music for Mass and practice sessions. 
  • Attend Catholic Liturgical Committee meetings, generally once per quarter.  
  • Assist in recruiting and training choir and musician volunteers to participate at all liturgies.
