Job Overview

Position Title: Protestant Music Director

Company: Ladgov Corporation

General Duties:

  • Oversee and direct musical activities for the Protestant Service.
  • Conduct a minimum of one rehearsal and one worship service, leading the praise team and congregation.
  • Enhance and maintain the music library, ensuring the selection aligns with the worship service's needs.
  • Collaborate with the Chaplain or their appointed representative to fulfill all support requirements.
  • Assist in the development of annual music program calendars, budget planning, and volunteer training initiatives.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers involved in the music program.
  • Ensure the proper setup, cleaning, and security of facilities used for music-related events.
  • Perform music from appropriate religious sources that resonate with the Protestant Service's ethos.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in music or equivalent experience in directing worship services, particularly in Gospel or Contemporary Christian music.
  • A minimum of one year of college education in music or related fields, or comparable experience in a chapel or church environment.
  • Commitment to the core beliefs of the Protestant Christian faith.
  • Ability to vocally lead and engage the congregation in worship.
  • Proficiency in playing guitar and/or piano.
  • Capability to organize and lead a Protestant-style praise team.
  • Skill in performing music that aligns with a Contemporary Protestant worship service.
