We are seeking a skilled Piano Accompanist to provide contracted professional services for the University of New Mexico. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the University chorus and contribute to the musical excellence of the institution.
Key Responsibilities- Provide piano accompaniment for University chorus performances and rehearsals
- Collaborate with music directors and other musicians to create a high-quality musical experience
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the University music department
- Perform other duties as assigned by the music department
- Ability to play one or more of the following instruments: piano, cello, violin, viola, harp, guitar, bass, organ, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, and/or horn
- Professional experience in music performance and accompaniment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The Piano Accompanist will work on an as-needed basis, with a maximum of 3 consecutive working days or 520 hours per year. The position is non-exempt and hourly, with a rate of $50.00 per hour.
