Overview
The Junior Investment Analyst position will be in our main office in Dallas, TX. The candidate for this position will be working with members of our corporate Deal Team as they acquire Single Family Homes and Land for Development. The Junior Investment Analyst will develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of rental rates, leasing absorption, property values, and expected return profiles to construct a robust portfolio of high-quality, entry-level single-family residential rental homes. This person will support the acquisition of properties through multiple acquisition channels.

Assigned duties will be diverse and intended to provide deep education for a successful long-term career in investments. These duties will relate to underwriting, reporting, researching, modeling, and presentation preparation - additional duties, including ad-hoc reports, are also common in this role.

Job Requirements
  • Familiarity and interest in Real Estate Acquisitions and valuation process of Single-Family homes with a minimum of three years of real estate or related analysis experience preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technology.
  • Exceptional computer skills with knowledge of Excel functions and formulas.
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Ability to understand basic financial data
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to multi-task while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in a related field (i.e., Finance, Real Estate Development, Economics, etc.).
  • Exceptional computer skills are required for this role.
