Manager, IT Operations

Brief summary of role:
OpenSpace is looking for a Manager of IT to lead our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing our IT processes, including hardware management, centralizing software procurement and renewals and ensuring compliance through the deployment of IT best-practices. The candidate should have a deep understanding of Mac, Linux, and Windows hardware/operating systems and possess a thorough knowledge of Okta, including single sign-on workflows. This position is remote, but is ideally located on the West Coast.
What you will be doing:
- Support and coach staff in providing world-class IT support for employees worldwide.
- Train staff on new concepts and procedures, improving processes and workflows.
- Lead large IT projects, focusing on the design and deployment of secure IT systems/services.
- Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components, including periodic access reviews and security assessments.
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new software, focusing on security and vendor management.
- Oversee the assessment and purchasing of new and replacement hardware.
- Responsible for ensuring the compatibility, security, and scalability of our company's hardware and software.
- Analyze business needs in partnership with key stakeholders to develop secure solutions for company needs.
- Ensure IT activities comply with internal controls as well as applicable laws, codes, and regulations, (such as SOC2, FedRAMP, etc.).
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of progressive IT security operations experience including 3+ years of management experience.
- In-depth experience with IAM tools, such as IDP, active directory and MFA.
- In-depth knowledge of and proven deployment of IT best-practices, including security and reporting frameworks
- Thorough understanding of and experience in administering cloud-based software, including Google Suite, Atlassian and Okta
- Thorough understanding of SaaS tools, their integration, and security implications.
- Strong vendor management and partner relation skills
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., SQL & Powershell).
- Excellent time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing IT security protocols and infrastructure.
