WoodField Recreation Specialist

Position Overview
The Recreation Specialist will plan, implement and encourage youth engagement in structured and therapeutic recreation programs. The Recreation Specialist will be part of a multi-disciplinary team and participate in team meetings to receive and provide feedback on youth functioning during activities and programs. The Recreation Specialist will develop programs that address youth therapeutic goals and build on their individual and collective strengths through physical fitness, arts and crafts, dance, meditation/yoga, teamwork and problem solving.
Position Qualifications- High School diploma or GED equivalency (required)
- At least two years of experience in facilitating youth service themed programs, recreational programs in detention, corrections, juvenile justice or other social/human services related work.
- Possess good written, verbal and computer skills.
- Possess the ability to care for children and youth in a nurturing and therapeutic manner.
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 1:00pm-9:00pm
