Premier Subaru of Fremont is looking for Automotive General Sales Manager

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to develop enriching relationships that improve client happiness and fuel the sales process.
  • Establish trust among customers to establish a strong network of clientele and prospects.
  • Managing all three areas of customer traffic: Showroom, E-Commerce, and Phones
  • Provide training and support to sales staff and assist in closing deals.
  • Facilitate regular sales training for continued team growth.
  • Hire, motivate and monitor the performance of the team
  • Coach sales team to maximize guest satisfaction
  • Lead all sales activities and maintain an experienced level of product knowledge
  • Ensure high Customer Satisfaction scores and analyze these metrics to isolate areas for improvement
  • Engage and motivate the team to achieve key goals, performance expectations and standard methodology processes.
  • Drive business through a high-level of involvement in day-to-day operations.
  • Lead the negotiation process ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing.
  • Partner with General Manager plan and run vehicle inventory.
  • Assist in running controllable expense elements for the New and Used Vehicle Departments.
  • Analyze business metrics to resolve shortfalls and implement action plans to elevate performance.

Qualifications

  • 5 years Automotive dealership management experience.
  • Shown success in auto retail sales.
  • Confirmed leadership ability to mentor and train others.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient at operating personal computers including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel, and Word.
  • CDK Dealer Services Experience a plus.
  • Elead or another CRM Application is a must.
  • Passionate about training sales team members and operating within a reciprocal environment.
  • Enthusiastic personality with high-energy attitude
  • Ability to boost morale during the sales workday and improve profitability.
  • Organization and follow-up skills
  • Experience and desire to work with technology.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

 

Pay Scale

  • The General Sales Manager Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Compensation of $84,000 per year.  The position may also pay commission compensation which is based on the value, or the number of closed sales achieved from $0.00 to $10,000 (if no sales are made) without any upper limit other than sales performance.  The position also may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 to $2,000(if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit. 
  • A fully trained and motivated salesperson (working full time) has unlimited earning potential and typically earns between $84,000 to 140,000+ (with base pay, commissions, and bonuses) annually with all things being equal.
