The Lexipol OTC (Order to Cash) team is responsible for billing, customer collections and cash application. We are responsible for generating timely and accurate invoices, ensuring collection of monies owed by customers, and the timely and accurate application of these remittances to accounts receivable. We provide regular and ad hoc operational KPIs, reporting and communications to internal stakeholders.
The Billing Specialist is responsible for sending renewal invoices, cancellation of customers in NetSuite, assisting billing lead with maintaining customer subscriptions and processing purchase orders. They will also be a billing back up to the billing lead and other departments. This role is 100% remote.
The Billing Specialist will report to the billing lead and work very closely with the billing team members and others in the OTC team. This is done through working in the below areas of focus:
- Troubleshoot and resolve advanced billing questions or issues
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset for the billing process, looking for new ways to gain efficiency
- Maintain customer subscriptions in NetSuite.
- Process purchase orders for all OTC teams
- Process credit memos
- Ensure renewal invoices are sent to customers and CSMs monthly
- Support the optimization of NetSuite, Salesforce, Naviga, Boomi, and/or other middleware and systems.
- Assist with ad-hoc and special projects as required
Requirements:
- High School diploma required
- Minimum of 3 years prior billing experience with a focus on SaaS/contract invoicing
- Minimum of 2 years Salesforce experience
- Understanding of subscription billing and revenue recognition
- Understanding Software as a Service (SaaS) business model
- Exceptional data analysis skills required with a strong attention to detail (intermediate Excel skills required)
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively cross-functional
- Demonstrate high level of agility, able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and environments
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or related field
- Experience with NetSuite billing.
- Respond to issues or questions quickly and accurately from CSMs
- Process Customer Change Forms (CCFs) quickly and accurately
- Work with others in OTC and RevOps to identify Salesforce to NetSuite (vice a versa) interface issue
- Assist other billing team members as needed in completing tasks.
- Continuously improve processes: document current processes and optimize to increase efficiency and/or eliminate non-value-add work, and document optimized processes
- The Billing Specialist will report to the Billing Lead
- Invest yourself in excellent performance and be developed and mentored accordingly
- The OTC team is a high-performance team focused on supporting internal and external stakeholders with timely and accurate billing information
