Telework Coding Specialist

Conifer Revenue Cycle Solutions is seeking a skilled Telework Coding Specialist to support and provide coding and compliance training to clinical personnel, billing, and/or other client staff. The ideal candidate will establish effective communication with clinical staff, and/or hospital staff to address documentation, coding, and reimbursement issues.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnosis data submissions to clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Develop monthly productivity and revenue projections
- Responsible for chart assignment oversight and monitoring accounts on hold
- Prepare data collection reports for leadership
- Monitor diagnosis submission progress; audit diagnosis submission files to ensure accuracy
- Review, analyze, and oversee prebill/post bill reviews and pending accounts
- Work to resolve workflow, systems, and complex matters related to coding
- Three to five years' experience performing medical record coding in an acute care setting
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information, Nursing, or other related field, or formal coding classes completed and passed
- AHIMA Credentials, and/or AAPC
The Telework Coding Specialist will work in a private office space in the coder's home per Conifer's Telecommuter Policy as defined in the Telecommuting Program Guide.
Benefits- Competitive hourly rate: $27.30-$40.95 per hour
- Position may be eligible for a signing bonus for qualified new hires, subject to employment status
