Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work with an experienced team to perform daily bookkeeping duties and record keeping. You will have daily interactions with customers and work closely with our customer service team and sales team. If you are a self-starter with a desire to further your career with a company that provides a good work environment and excellent benefits, this position is for you. Requirements for the position are knowledge of accounting procedures in an office environment.  Accounts Receivable experience is helpful but not required.

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, On-site in Shreveport, Louisiana

 

Responsibilities

  • Managing accounts receivable using accounting software and other programs
  • Handling accounts receivable for separate entities and vendors
  • Analyzing workflow processes
  • Opening new accounts as needed
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers
  • Working an aging report regularly and contacting accounts with past due balances
  • Billing customers as needed
  • Ensuring payments are posted in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Motivated, self-starter that can also work on a team
  • Understanding of accounting functions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address problems while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
