SUPERVISOR TITLE: Director of Sales or Director of

Job Summary

The Catering Manager reports to the Director of Catering and
is responsible for effectively selling the Banquet space, food and beverage,
and event planning services with a heavy focus on Corporate
catering.

Key
Responsibilities

Identifies precisely the expectations of the customer

Checks the availability of meeting rooms

Prepares proposals

Prepares banquet checks

Prepares BEO's

Prepares group resumes

Responds to leads in a timely manner

Attend weekly Catering meetings

Complete weekly Catering Reports

Coordinates catering operations with all other department
/divisions of the hotel

Ensuring the success of the event

Handling any complaints and following-up debtors

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience
in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required

Experience Front Desk Operating Systems is
preferred

Ability
to read, analyze, and interpret reports and technical procedures

Ability
to write reports, business correspondence,

Ability
to effectively and professionally present information and respond to questions
from managers, clients, customers and the general public

Ability
to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or
schedule form

Ability to work with difficult
or challenging clients and maintain a positive attitude with clients and
co-workers

Ability
to learn new programs and skills

Ability
to work at the Front Desk as needed

Ability
to work legally in the United States

Must have a current drivers license and reliable
transportation

Education
Experience

Required--- Previous hotel-related experience, sales management experience in hotel
or service industry, experience in budgeting and business planning.
