Position Summary:

Georges Media is looking for an experienced ad sales manager to lead our three person Acadiana ad sales team. The Advertising Sales Manager will lead and oversee all aspects of print and digital advertising sales for The Acadiana Advocate and Georges Media within the Acadiana region. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth through innovative advertising solutions, managing client relationships, and developing a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Direct the advertising sales team's efforts across both print and digital platforms, ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded. Develop and implement strategic sales plans in alignment with the company’s goals.
  • Digital Advertising Expertise: Utilize knowledge of digital advertising tools and trends, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Marketing, programmatic display, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Over-The-Top (OTT) media services, and Digital Out of Home advertising.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and offering tailored advertising solutions. Act as the senior point of contact for major clients.
  • Team Development: Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Revenue Strategies: Develop creative advertising packages and promotions to attract new advertisers and retain existing ones. Oversee the negotiation of contracts and agreements with advertisers and sponsors.
  • Market Analysis: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activity in the region to anticipate market shifts and opportunities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, content, and analytics teams to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of advertising campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in advertising sales, with a preference for candidates with ad sales management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital advertising, including SEM, social media, SEO, programmatic display, OTT, and Digital Out of Home.
  • Experience in sponsorship sales and video production sales is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Must be based the Acadiana region in or near Lafayette, LA.
