DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Senior Computer Analyst plays a vital role in providing technical expertise, leadership, and support to the IT Support Team. This position will collaborate with Computer Analysts and other IT teams to deliver efficient and effective support solutions while providing technical guidance and mentorship.

The incumbent will:

  • Provide Level 1 technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and effectively
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex support inquiries, providing guidance and assistance to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist in IT Support Team owned projects as needed, collaborating with team members to ensure successful project implementation
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in project planning, execution, and documentation
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and mentor to Computer Analysts, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing to enhance team performance
  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and troubleshooting steps using the Ticketing System and Confluence
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the IT knowledge base, ensuring up-to-date documentation and knowledge sharing among team members
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in IT support to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Facilitate training sessions and knowledge sharing sessions for Computer Analysts to promote continuous learning and skill development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and systems administration
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship
  • Extensive experience in technical support and project management
  • Strong decision-making abilities with a focus on delivering effective solutions
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+, etc.) are a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The physical requirements and environmental conditions of this position consist primarily of:

  • Sustained standing and sitting
  • Frequent use of PC, including typing or sustained attention to monitor
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Normal office environment with comfortable internal temperatures and low-level noise
