Finlays is seeking an experienced Sales Executive with food industry sales experience and contacts within the Foodservice industry, with special focus on QSR, FSR and Fast Casual markets.
Responsible for all sales activities from generating leads to closing sales in assigned channels with primary focus on creating sales opportunities in the QSR, FSR and Fast Casual markets. Manage all business relationships for assigned and potential customers. Work closely with Sales Management, Marketing, and Applications to create and present solutions that address a market/customer need or opportunity. Assure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlays mission, values, ethics and goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Achieve annual revenue and sales targets.
- Identify prospective customers, create pipeline generation and conversion.
- Connect and maintain relationships and business with key decision makers at existing customer base.
- Uncover business solutions for potential customers by understanding their needs, decision makers and influencers and projects at prospective customers through lead follow up, cold calling, and high-level prospecting.
- Manage and develop customer relationships to achieve sales goals within an assigned account base in a business to customer environment.
- Grow sales and increase profitability of the channel using technical, organizational, and industry knowledge to influence customers and find solutions using company products.
- Maintain SalesForce database, focus on managing opportunities and Big Bets.
- Nurture relationships to generate customer goodwill and loyalty: ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Improve customer centricity and build long term relationships with potential and existing accounts.
- Create, execute and manage a yearly sales plan with formal objectives for the assigned customer base. Present plan and updates at quarterly sales meetings.
- Understand pricing and proposal models. Negotiate pricing and contracts.
- Complete training with knowledgeable grasp of product portfolio, food industry channels, coffee market, and competition.
- Using Rally dashboard, provide insight on key performance metrics of revenue and gross margin.
- Manage monthly detailed forecasting process with supply chain and sales operations to accurately anticipate future volume needs. (S&IOP Process)
- Represent the company at tradeshows, association meetings and business functions.
- Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service.
- Update job knowledge by reading industry publications; maintaining professional networks; participating in educational opportunities.
- Engage in personal development by recording goals and timelines established by you and your manager.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
- Achieve annual company revenue plan.
- Improve customer centricity measured by annual Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Active participation in the S&IOP process measured by 78% accuracy.
- Update and maintain accurate SalesForce database.
- Complete and submit commercial reports on time.
- Manage expenses and travel budget.
- Ensuring all safe work practices are adhered to.
- Understand and comfortably speak to Finlays quality systems.
- Ensure all customer complaints are registered in the system and resolutions are communicated.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE AREAS:
- Proven track record of exceeding objectives and quotas.
- Ability to professionally interact with all levels of an organization.
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficient computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Must be a highly motivated self-starter, organized, able to prioritize and multi-task with leadership skills.
EDUCATION and REQUIREMENTS:
- BS / BA in Business or Food Science and 3-5 years professional selling experience in the Food & Beverage Retail and branded, Ingredient, or Foodservice National Accounts focusing on natural ingredients
- Strong presentation, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Some travel and work flexible hours as required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Proficient computer skills; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
