Marketing Support


SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing duties as described below, in a timely manner and with acceptable quality. The position of Marketing Support assists the Sales Support Department in the coordination of the company’s sample management program and database. This position will also handle the filing on initiation of vendor rebate programs within the company.

This position requires heavy interface with Product Management, as well as working closely with the company’s Purchasing and Operations staff. The Marketing Support must have a strong focus and attention to detail to update and maintain data on an ongoing basis and must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The Marketing Support will be responsible for administrative duties for assigned brands and support Product Managers who manage the brands. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with internal and external contacts, must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Day to day responsibilities include sample inventory planning, distribution and reporting, invoice tracking , sales reporting, heavy data entry, order entry, mailing, printing of price lists, filing, and other administrative tasks as determined by supervisors.

Duties will include the following:

  • Manages the inventory of all marketing materials. Interacts with vendors to place orders and distribute materials to the sales team. Works to standardize materials planning, scheduling and inventory management. Maintains clear communications of product pricing activities and insures that these are properly relayed to those associates who require pricing information. The Marketing Assistant must be proficient with spreadsheet development and data analysis in order to manipulate price lists.
  • Serves as a liaison with buying groups and staff to maintain accuracy of retailer information. Conducts regular audits of data to ensure the integrity of the database.
  • This position will also administer vendor rebate programs insuring that claims are processed through the appropriate departmental functions.
  • Assists in the coordination and execution of mailings to customers and staff members.
  • Creates promotional flyers as assigned, arranges meetings, and prepares documents and presentation materials.
