Job DescriptionJob Description

Assists the maintenance supervisor in running a smooth operation for Centerville Care and Rehab Center by performing various duties in and around the building and grounds. Duties include preventative maintenance, repairs and corrects maintenance problems of equipment and buildings, ground works, painting and snow removal. Assures that the water heaters, call lights and air conditioning systems are in proper operating condition. Is on-call during all hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Essential Duties:

  • Overall maintenance of the entire facility
  • Preventative maintenance and repair to assure efficient operating equipment
  • Performs many different tasks throughout the daily shift
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Keep all knowledge of residents confidential.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be in good mental and physical condition
  • Sit, stand, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and walk intermittently during the work day
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects when deemed necessary

Qualifications

  • Experience with fixing electrical problems, sewer systems, and other general maintenance difficulties
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
