Electronics Laboratory Technician

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electronic design, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of testing apparatus for both developmental and production electronic systems. This role involves executing electronic assembly protocols and collaborating with design and testing engineers to clarify design specifications and functional testing criteria. Exceptional communication skills and troubleshooting abilities are critical for success in this position. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in understanding and maintaining laboratory testing electronic devices and circuits. Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Visio, and Outlook, is required. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and a U.S. Department of Defense clearance is advantageous. This role necessitates the ability to secure a U.S. Government clearance.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of a two-year college or trade school degree or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering specifications and schematics
- Capability to understand and maintain laboratory testing electronic devices and circuits
- Experience in utilizing basic assembly techniques to construct and repair intricate circuit card assemblies
- Conducting required product validation testing in accordance with test plan specifications
Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the Engineering team. Ensure that product validation tests are systematically planned and executed for customer and/or engineering testing requirements using calibrated testing equipment. Develop and fabricate fixtures for specialized testing purposes. Gather and analyze test data. Adhere to equipment calibration and maintenance schedules and protocols. Communicate any testing challenges promptly. Organize test plans for secure and easy retrieval. Maintain organized test reports for accessibility and official documentation. Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of the laboratory and equipment.
