We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at Dover Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of work and materials within our production department.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedules.
- Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials to ensure accurate assembly and delivery of products.
- Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to meet production schedules.
- Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Identify maintenance needs on equipment and tooling to ensure optimal production efficiency.
- Work at different workstations as production needs require, maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual's product line or work cell.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Team-oriented individual who values the synergy of a team and operates as a team player.
- Effective collaborator who engages others in discussion and is hands-on in problem-solving.
- Fast learner able to quickly come up to speed on business processes to manage and serve the needs of the organization.
- Passion for getting things right and a can-do attitude committed to finding solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
- Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.
- Occasionally - Stooping/Twisting, Kneeling, Squatting, Visual Acuity (Near/Far), and Lift/Carry up to 50lbs.
- Frequently - Reaching and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs.
- Constantly - Standing, Walking, Gripping, Pushing/Pulling, and Lift/Carry up to 25lbs.
