As our Dishwasher at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research, you’ll be key in keeping food and beverage operations flowing smoothly and efficiently. Our entire staff, from the front of the house to the back of the house, will rely on you to keep dishes and cookware sparkling clean to enhance our members' and guests’ dining experience. If you’re a stickler for cleanliness, we’d love to benefit from your passion in our fast-paced dining environment where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about food safety, sanitation, and being a team player.

Compensation:  $12.50 per hour 

This position is part time, so  it offers opportunity for a great work/home life balance

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment and kitchen in accordance with department  standards.

  • Safely and efficiently operates dish washing machine according to procedure manual.

  • Ensures proper soap and rinse chemicals are loaded for washing.

  • Removes from service any dishes, utensils, and glassware that are damaged or broken.

  • Stocks delivered food and non-food items.

  • Empty and clear garbage bins and breakdown of boxes.

  • Deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.

  • Attends all training and department meetings as assigned.

  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment.

  • Performs all duties in adherence to department standards.

  • Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.

  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all guest, associates and management.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment 

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment 

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn, standard cleaning methods and equipment used in dishwashing work 

  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for communicating with fellow team members and guest
