ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Proficient in Crestron, Poly, Cisco, Biamp, NETGEAR and QSC.
  • Configure AV solutions documented in SOW

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Train and support lower-level Field Engineers and Technicians on all projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring proper installation of integrated systems, quality control of AV infrastructure, testing and final calibrations.
  • Interface with client to include training and demonstration of new system operations.
  • Commission AV systems, troubleshoot and optimize, and perform final testing and turnover of integrated systems to clients.
  • Independently program large scale projects from Intereum standard templates, primarily in Q-SYS designer.
  • Interpret and create code in DSP and audio structures.
  • Develop and write test reports with a working understanding of testing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe worksite.
  • Attend a variety of internal meetings and customer meetings as required.
  • Promote quality improvement to enhance the services provided to clients.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and industry software.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with client list and information.
  • Travel nationally, up to 40%. Availability for weekend work (historically low levels but potential travel days).


WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • 3 + years of experience as a Field Engineer.
  • Audio Engineering Degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • CTS required; CTS-I Certification preferred.
  • Q-SYS Level 2 and Control 201 certifications required.
  • Vast experience deploying and troubleshooting Crestron Flex System MTR and Zoom room kits.
  • Proficiency and experience deploying Biamp, Tesira Forte DSP systems.
  • Expert level understanding of audio and video signal flow.
  • Ability to load Crestron code to processors, troubleshoot Crestron systems, and working knowledge of Toolbox.
  • Expert level knowledge of networked audio, PTP management and Dante controller.
  • Proven ability to commission commercial AV and train clients on system function.
  • Expert level experience setting up video switching systems: Crestron and Extron.
  • Ability to configure Extron equipment with Extron Product Configurator software.
  • Vast knowledge on installation of products such as ceiling/wall mounted speakers, displays, cameras, cabling infrastructure, AV racks, wall plates and interfaces (audio, video, control, and networking).
  • Expert level knowledge of terminations. including but not limited to audio, video, control, and network connectors.
  • High proficiency in reading schematics and utilizing diagnostics, finding design mistakes, and assisting with solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required.
  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs, squat, kneel and climb ladders from 8-12 ft.
  • Comfortable working in ceilings and tight spaces.
