POSITION SUMMARY
The Director sets and adheres to high performance standards, providing team direction to produce design and technical excellence, client satisfaction, exceptional project delivery, and the highest level of project leadership consistently and efficiently. The Director can organize and empower a teamboth internal and external membersthrough the full duration of a project.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Versatile leader, prepared to take on projects of various types and delivery methods
- Knowledgeable to the latest developments in the industry and the allied arts
- Tests new concepts and ideas through project work and office initiatives
- Fluent in the overall vision of the firm
- Understands the importance of a holistic business operating structure outside of project work
- Acts as a sponsor to the firms business plan, systems, and our four pillars of operations: Design Excellence, Technical Excellence, People + Culture, Financial Sustainability.
- Embraces a culture of human-centric leadership through self-awareness and wellness for themselves
- Fosters and leads in a collaborative environment to support, mentor, and lead others
- Learns and reflects in their own continued growth
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture
- 15+ years of experience
- Extensive experience working in all project phases and on projects of various size and complexity
- Understands and can draft contractual agreements with Clients/Owners and Construction Managers (CM)
- Maintained Board membership within the community or industry or strong involvement in an organization outside C+P
- Preferred Program Proficiency: Bluebeam, The Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office, Miro, Bim360, Revit 2023, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Smartsheet, Cmap, Insperity, AWS, Shutterstock
- Oversight of teams using the above software, in addition to: Rhino 7, Grasshopper, Lumion, Enscape, Sketchup, Acrobat, ArcGIS, Google Earth Pro, Open Street Maps, After Effects, Premiere
