Job Details

Position: Dietary Aide Supervisor

Location: Larksfield Place

Schedule: full time (flexible for either three 12's, four 10's, or five 8's)

Hours: full time

Pay Rate: DOE $17-$20

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Dietary Aide Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the activities of dietary aides in a healthcare facility or food service operation. The Dietary Aide Supervisor will ensure that meals are prepared and served according to dietary restrictions and quality standards, as well as supervise staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of dietary aides, including assigning tasks and providing guidance as needed.
2. Ensure that meals are prepared and served according to specific dietary requirements and quality standards.
3. Train new dietary aides on food preparation, serving techniques, sanitation practices, and safety procedures.
4. Monitor food production to ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner and that portion control is maintained.
5. Inspect work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of menus that meet nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
7. Collaborate with the dietary manager to order supplies, rotate stock, and maintain inventory levels.
8. Handle any customer service issues or resident complaints regarding dietary services in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; formal culinary training or certificate is a plus.
2. Proven experience working in a food service operation, preferably in a healthcare setting.
3. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, dietary restrictions, and meal planning.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive attitude.
6. Basic computer skills for entering meal counts, inventory management, and communication purposes.
7. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a kitchen environment.
