Position Details

Role: Nutritional Services Supervisor

Location: Larksfield Place

Work Schedule: Full-time (flexible options available: three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts)

Hours: Full-time

Compensation: DOE $17-$20

Role Summary:
The Nutritional Services Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities of dietary aides within a healthcare or food service environment. This role is essential in ensuring that meals are prepared and served in accordance with dietary guidelines and quality standards while supervising staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of dietary aides, assigning tasks and providing necessary guidance.
2. Ensure that meals are prepared and served according to specific dietary needs and quality standards.
3. Train new dietary aides on food preparation, serving techniques, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
4. Monitor food production to guarantee timely meal preparation and adherence to portion control.
5. Inspect work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
6. Assist in developing and implementing menus that align with nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
7. Collaborate with the dietary manager to order supplies, manage stock rotation, and maintain inventory levels.
8. Address any customer service issues or resident complaints regarding dietary services professionally and promptly.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; formal culinary training or certification is advantageous.
2. Proven experience in a food service operation, preferably within a healthcare setting.
3. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, dietary restrictions, and meal planning.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
5. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a positive demeanor.
6. Basic computer skills for meal count entry, inventory management, and communication.
7. Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in a kitchen setting.
