Role:

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Application Developer to provide support and assistance to design, development, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform and also support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide for project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • IBM z/OS assembly language: Assembly instructions, addressing modes, data manipulation techniques, and job control processing.

  • Provide support with legacy code business rules extraction and code conversion.

  • CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) tool: version control, release management, security and access control, and integration of Endevor with other development tools.

  • BMC Control-M: automating job scheduling, managing workflows, and monitoring job execution.

  • IBM mainframe architecture: storage hierarchy (registers, memory, I/O), system calls (SVCs), and interrupt handling mechanisms.

  • Legacy mainframe data formats: Operate in DB2, QSAM, and VSAM data formats.

  • Target Java code: object-oriented programming principles, Java syntax, libraries, frameworks, and best practices.

  • Translate assembly logic to modern constructs such as mapping assembly instructions to equivalent Java code using loops, conditional statements, functions, and object-oriented design patterns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field

  • Experience with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL), QSAM Data Formats

Preferred/Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with IRS Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) highly desirable.

Clearance:

  • Active IRS MBI Clearance High Desirable
