Hearing Evaluation Services of Buffalo, a well-established non-profit practice in Williamsville, Tonawanda, and Orchard Park, NY (flexible on location), is looking to hire a full-time Audiologist to add to our team. Our mission is to reduce the negative impact of hearing impairment, tinnitus or dizziness on the health, lifestyle and communicative abilities of the patient and their loved ones. We achieve this by pairing highly educated, non-commissioned, Doctors of Audiology with top-of-the-line testing and verification equipment and hearing device technology. We have Audiologists who sub-specialize in multiple areas of audiological care including tinnitus, vestibular, cochlear implants, bone conduction systems and other areas as well. We have been caring for the Western New York Community since 1981 and are proud that most of our patients come by word of mouth after they hear successful stories about us from their family and friends.

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

  • Establish effective rapport with patients and their family members, setting realistic expectations regarding the patient’s hearing loss and hearing aid recommendations.
  • Accurately conduct comprehensive audiometric evaluations, with an emphasis on best practices.
  • Make ear impressions.
  • Conduct hearing aid fittings and follow-up care using best practices.
  • Cerumen management.
  • Maintain documentation and patient files in a professional and timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Active NYS hearing aid dispensing license and NYS Audiologist license, or eligible to obtain.
  • Master’s or Au.D. will be considered.

The successful Audiologist will also possess the following:

  • Strong desire to treat hearing loss by dispensing appropriate hearing aids or recommending other interventions.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Desire and ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and team members.
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills
  • Great follow-up skills
  • Good at problem solving.
  • Unwavering commitment to provide an exceptional patient experience.
