About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of students with communication disorders in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine the type and severity of speech-language impairments in students.
  • Treatment and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders, including speech, language, and literacy skills.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, other SLPs, OTs, PTs, Audiologists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, including evaluations, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology, and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Licensure and Certification: New York State licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (or CFY eligible), Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology issued by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) (or CFY eligible), and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Initial or Professional certificate or TSHH Permanent certificate.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires frequent sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate will be able to lift, bend, and move with ease, and will have adequate vision, speech, tactile, and hearing senses to perform job requirements.
