Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network security infrastructure. You will work closely with IT teams to ensure the security of our network systems, protect against unauthorized access, and mitigate risks to our data and systems. Your expertise in network security protocols, technologies, and best practices will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's assets and maintaining operational continuity.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network access control (NAC) systems.
  • Monitor network traffic for security breaches and unauthorized access attempts, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Conduct security assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices and technologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to resolve complex network security issues and challenges.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to proactively mitigate risks and enhance network security posture.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
  • Document security procedures, configurations, and guidelines to support knowledge sharing and compliance efforts.
  • Conduct training and awareness sessions for IT staff and end-users on network security best practices and policies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst, or similar role with a focus on network security.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network architecture.
  • Experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Cisco ASA/FTD, Palo Alto Networks, Check Point), VPN solutions, IDS/IPS systems, and NAC technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, endpoint protection, and penetration testing tools.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and security frameworks (e.g., NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex network security issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
